Val d’Isère is a world-class winter destination situated at 1850mt in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.
The resort features three main ski areas (Le Fornet, Le Solaise and Bellevarde) and, along with Tignes, forms the Espace Killy area, a massive domain offering 154 runs (22 very easy, 61 easy, 46 medium and 25 difficult), 300 km of slopes, an incredible 1900 mt (6233 ft.) of vertical drop, 2 terrain parks and 2 glaciers.
Its long ski season (November to May), high piste grooming standard, wide slopes and lively après–ski scene, make Val d’Isère a great holiday destination for families and guests of all ability levels and ages.
All age and expertise ski levels can be accommodated inVal d’Isère and, similarly to the neighboring Tines, it also offers easily accessible, secure off-piste opportunities.
Several local and international ski schools populate the resort and offer complete, high standard ski services on the slopes. Private ski lessons and private snowboard lessons are the most popular products. English speaking ski schools are common; most ski instructors in Tignes speak English, French and, occasionally, Italian language.
