When was A-Z Skischule founded? What resorts does your ski school work at?
Can you tell us more about the ski school founder?
Anton Zangerle is the founder and director of the Skischule A-Z. Anton is a state-certified ski guide and former Tiefschnee 8 World Champion. Anton has built a strong, diverse, and energetic team, comprising a great mixture of local and international instructors. Skischule A-Z offers tuition in all winter sport disciplines, in at least 10 languages, including German, English, Dutch, Spanish, Portugese and Russian.
Throughout the whole winter season (from early December to late April), ski instructors and guides of the A-Z Team are working full time in the Arlberg region, mainly covering the resorts of Sankt Anton, Pettneu, St Christoph, Stuben, Zurs and Lech. The Arlberg is often recognised as the world’s top ski region.
Besides skiing and guiding, what is your ski school best known for?
Year round, the Skischule A-Z is known for its great work supporting various (charity) events, for example:
- youth/ school ski activities
- cross country skiing with the ski club
- (full) moon tours
- the legendary “der Weisse Rausch” race and the “Arlberg Adler” triathlon
- handicapped sports games
- mountain biking
- bee keeping

Customised service. Our strength is providing private lessons and personalised activities, for adults, teens and kids alike. Skischule A-Z works with very first beginners through to intermediates and experts, and we deliver comprehensive coaching in a.o. powder skiing, moguls, freestyle. “You ask, A-Z delivers”
What are your best selling products?
Full day private ski tuition. The day can be planned as per our guests’ wishes (an extra hour can be added for breaks). We agree upon a meeting point and start time. Guests can work on technique, gain extra confidence, improve, explore the mountains and have fun. We can provide tuition on- or off-piste. If off-piste, safety equipment is required.
As the Arlberg region is huge, we also offer guiding activities. We are happy to provide information about the local environment, wildlife and nature, history, culture, and culinary delights.
